God... remember the 80s?
Sorry, what? Most of our demographics are Gen Zs? Ugh. Okay, lemme try again.
Ahem.
God... remember when your really cool uncle, who may be in his hard 40s but looks like he's in his soft 30s, talk about the 80s? Remember how he'd opine about Reebok's Pump sneakers and how you could press a "pump" button on the sneaker tongue to inflate an air bladder that would wrap the shoes around your feet?
You don't remember? That's okay, because H. Moser & Cie. remembered and has teamed with Reebok to incorporate the latter's pump conceit into a watch, specifically the Streamliner model.
Christened the Streamliner Pump, H. Moser & Cie. replaced winding a mechanical movement (Calibre HMC 103) with pumping a mechanical movement. Replacing the traditional crown with an orange button, where every press sends energy to the barrel spring, and activates the power reserve indicator. One depression equates to more than an hour of power reserve, and the Streamliner Pump has a maximum power reserve of 74 hours. So, about 74 pumps, and you don't have to worry about overwinding- sorry, overpumping. Even when the mainspring is fully charged, you can pump the little orange ball until the cows come home.

For this specific model, H. Moser & Cie. re-engineered the automatic HMC 500 small seconds movement, turning it into a manual-winding calibre. Look through the sapphire caseback, and you'll see the complication at work.
Measuring 11.4mm in thickness, the Streamliner Pump is water resistant to 10 ATM. Made of forged quartz fibre (purer and whiter than glass fibre and resistant to UV exposure) and bits of titanium (the sarcophagus and the caseback), dial-wise, it's as minimalist as they come: hands are highlighted with anthracite grey or white Globolight inserts and sweeps over the face; the power reserve indicator is located at 8 o'clock.
It comes in two colourways (black and white) and is limited to 250 pieces. Its case is crafted from a rarely seen material in watchmaking: forged quartz fibre. Purer and whiter than glass fibre, the quartz fibre is resistant to UV exposure. Each matte case has a unique moiré pattern, which means no two are alike.
Frankly, we are chuffed by this new way of "winding" the watch. It's a fun project and the collaboration watch makes sense of both parties: it fits the Reebok brand and showcases H. Moser & Cie.'s watchmaking mastery in adopting the HMC 500 movement for a HMC 103 one.
But, maybe, the best part of the Streamliner Pump is this: with every watch purchase, the buyer also gets a pair of exclusive, co-branded Reebok Pump sneakers.
