Hendrick's Ups the Whimsy... with a Watering Can?

Just when you think that Hendrick's Gin couldn't get any odder, they come up with the Whimsical Watering Can
Published: 4 July 2025

If this was a John Hughes movie, Hendrick's Gin would be that weird kid. Y'know the kind who wears mismatch socks and probably has Tuvan throat singing on repeat. That one. Given its chosen vocation, the gin with that distinctive flavour of rose and cucumber is up to its tricks and has given us a new bottle: a watering can.

Pour one out for the homies like you're pottering about in your wee garden and when you're done with its contents, you can reuse it again as a vase for your flowers or—and stay with me—use it as a proper watering can (just be sure to fill it with water). There's a certain circle moment where you're watering the plants that will probably be used as a garnish for your next gin drink. May we suggest that you consider cucumbers as your crop of choice?

"Cucumbers are 95 per cent water," says Hendrick’s master Distiller Lesley Gracie, "and so need to be diligently watered a little every day to stay mouth-wateringly juicy and refreshing, and this whimsical watering can makes that daily task a little more joyful. Cucumbers, like most humans, like the sun on their face, so keep them in a sunny spot by the window as they don't like being cold."

This limited Whimsical Watering Can release will be available with the purchase of a 70cl bottle of Henrick's Gin Original at selected airports globally. So, if you ever want to field questions from kaypoh custom agents about your carry-on, this watering can would do nicely.
