We're all familiar with the Louis Vuitton Millionaires sunglasses. It's the first design Pharrell Williams created for the Maison together with Nigo, and was released in 2004. The Millionaires have become such an iconic piece of Louis Vuitton's history that Williams revisited the silhouette in 2024 to celebrate its 20th anniversary—a full-circle moment now that he's creative director of the men's division.
Williams has already marked his time at the Maison with a number of fresh iterations of some of its icons, and he's adding another one to the list. Conceptually conceived along the lines of the Millionaires with nods to Louis Vuitton's trunk-making heritage, the new LV Heritage sunglasses are the more refined sibling. Sleek and minimal, the new sunglasses are defined by their hinges that have been fashioned to replicate the three-sided metal corners of a typical Louis Vuitton trunk.
If you're an ardent fan of Williams, you may have noticed that he teased the LV Heritage sunglasses back in 2025 during the Met Gala. To complete his look—in full Louis Vuitton, of course—Williams wore a pair of LV Heritage sunglasses in a square-shaped style in black and with gold-coloured corners. The teaser was so subtle that almost no one commented on it, or probably thought of it as a custom piece. The design theb made its official debut during the Spring/Summer 2026 menswear runway show, in a number of colourways and styles.

The LV Heritage sunglasses come in three styles—the aforementioned square frames, a mask-shaped design with a wholecut lens and a frameless brow, and a metal-rimmed, double nose-bridged square model topped with a Damier pattern etched across the frame. There are a seemingly endless array of lens and frame colours too, ranging from the usual black, and blue to the more out-there variations that include a champagne colourway. The sunglasses are also all made in Italy.
Louis Vuitton is already making this design a new eyewear staple. We're already seeing new variations that have cropped up since the original Spring/Summer 2026 drop. And with the friendlier price point as compared to the Millionaires, we reckon it'll be a mainstay for a long while.
The LV Heritage sunglasses are now available in boutiques and online.
