Berluti's Manifesto

Remarkable style isn’t just seen at Berluti—it’s felt

Looks aren’t everything. Think of the last time you slid into a handsome pair of shoes, only to curse at the discomfort after walking in them for a day. You think to yourself, this must be how women feel wearing heels, except you’re not wearing heels; well, not quite anyway. You recall that oft-used adage: beauty is pain. No, my brother. Comfort and style are not and should not be mutually exclusive.

It wouldn’t be crass to say that Berluti has had an obsession with the human foot for over a century now. It’s the only way that the Maison has managed to hone its expertise in dressing feet laced with the luxurious comfort of an excellent fit, while crafting them into splendid forms. Berluti started making shoes in 1895 and has since developed its own last based on its intimate understanding of the foot, and not to mention, the Maison also does bespoke orders to offer an even more personalised fit.

The Berluti Spring/Summer 2026 collection is a statement reinforcing this tradition. Berluti has turned its
obsession with crafted footwear into finely crafted looks. Much like how Berluti creations look exceptionally elegant and timeless, they’re also designed to feel good when worn. It begins, of course, with the skilled craftsmanship of its craftsmen. Then, the materials are selected to serve specific purposes—Venezia leather for shoes and bags, “saddle soft” leather for jackets, suede for lightweight ready-to-wear—before being turned into objects made for the everyday and beyond.

There is an undeniable ease to Berluti of late, and it’s even more apparent for Spring/Summer 2026. The idea is that every piece in the collection is meant to be seamlessly interchangeable, including the footwear. Forestière jackets rendered in a range of fabrics from summery tweed to cashmere to linen are key lightweight layering options. Depending on the material they’re crafted from, the Forestière can lean slightly formal or be a versatile in-between that dresses up just about any combination it’s layered over. Suiting is present, but broken to exude a calculated sense of casual formality—you’d be able to just as easily switch a double-breasted blazer with a leather jacket, and that’s an entirely new look.

The bags offer the same idea of versatility. The Un Jour de Poche messenger bag is the hero with its relatively small size and crossbody appeal. The colours that the silhouette is drenched in are hardly serious, yet they’re easy companions to pair with just about any look in the collection. The magnetic closure feels satisfying too, with a click that keeps everything secure while you’re on the go.

Naturally, you would finish with Berluti’s suite of footwear. And no matter what you choose, it works. The collection may be crafted for the spring and summer seasons, but like Berluti’s signature patina, there’s no doubt that you would be able to move in them all year-round, even as the seasons change with more Berluti newness. Think of them as additions that expand your well-crafted style arsenal.
