Look at Tudor’s logo. A sturdy shield is probably the first thing that your eyes register, a fitting emblem symbolic of the brand’s reputation for rugged, hard-wearing timepieces built to endure life’s demands and the ocean’s crushing depths. Look closer, however, and you’ll find that the shield also resembles the delicate outline of a rose. Much like its watches, strength and resilience may define Tudor at first glance, but if you’ve ever handled one yourself, you’ll likely agree when I say that there’s an undeniable undercurrent of finesse and grace woven somewhere within its DNA.
At Watches and Wonders this year, Tudor fully embraces this duality of brawn and refinement, without compromising on either. The latest novelties are a testament to Tudor’s delicate balancing act, where raw power and subtle sophistication coexist seamlessly—this is Tudor's perfect equilibrium.
We’ll begin with the most eye-catching of the lot: the Tudor Black Bay 58, now refreshed with a rich burgundy bezel and dial. There’s a jazzy sophistication that comes with its sunburst finish, giving it a rhythm to its depth and lustrousness. True to its namesake—honouring the year Tudor debuted its first 200-meter waterproof diver’s watch—the 39mm case stays faithful to the original proportions from nearly 70 years ago. However, this model marks the first time a Tudor Black Bay 58 will be matched with a sleek five-link stainless steel bracelet, a design that debuted just last year.
We shift back to Tudor’s brawnier vibe with the Black Bay 68, boasting an imposing 43mm case—the largest in the Black Bay lineup. Available in either a domed sun-brushed silver or Tudor Blue dial, its lustrous finish lends the watch an understated intricacy that softens its bold dimensions. Surprisingly, it wears better on smaller wrists than you’d expect. But this watch isn’t just about presence—it’s built for precision. Thanks to its self-winding Manufacture Calibre MT5601-U, the Black Bay 68 has earned Master Chronometer certification from METAS, guaranteeing accuracy within 0/+5 seconds per day, resistance to 15,000 gauss magnetic fields, and an impressive 70-hour power reserve.
The Black Bay Chrono continues Tudor's delicate balancing act at this year's Watches and Wonders, offering a striking duet of matte black and opaline dials—each featuring bold contrasting sub dials. Drawing from its archives, Tudor retains its historically inspired chronograph pushers, a 45-minute counter, and a date aperture at 6 o’clock—all faithful nods to its first-generation chronographs. These yin-and-yang iterations maintain a versatile 41mm case size and will be available with either three-link or five-link bracelets, both equipped with Tudor's innovative T-Fit rapid-adjustment clasp
The iciest addition to Tudor’s novelties comes in the form of the Black Bay Pro, now sporting a new opaline dial. The crisp white dial provides the perfect backdrop for minor visual details to pop: black-outlined ceramic markers, the signature 'Snowflake' hand, and a vibrant yellow GMT hand all come together to form a formula for clarity and legibility. As it is usually the case with Tudor, there are a few bracelet and strap options here. The stainless-steel bracelet features a folding clasp with the T-Fit micro-adjustment system, offering up to 8mm of extension across five positions. Alternatively, there’s a hybrid black rubber-and-fabric strap with a folding clasp or a black-and-yellow Jacquard fabric strap for a sportier touch.
The Pelagos Ultra rounds off Tudor’s novelties as the brand’s most technically advanced Pelagos to date. Boasting an impressive 1000m water resistance—twice that of the standard model—it features a formidable 43mm titanium case and holds the coveted Master Chronometer Certification from METAS. If the Black Bay 58 reflects Tudor’s softer, heritage-driven side, the Pelagos Ultra is a full embrace of its rugged, performance-focused identity. Its matte black dial is equipped with enlarged hands and markers that glow in a striking turquoise, extending seamlessly to the ceramic bezel. The bracelet incorporates Tudor’s signature spring-loaded adjustable clasp, which automatically tightens around the wrist and adjusts to pressure changes during deep dives. For good measure, it also includes a complementary rubber strap with integrated end links.
