For Tod’s, “AI” isn’t an acronym for the death of human artistry. It’s Artisanal Intelligence, a term the brand first coined during the Spring/Summer 2025 season to represent the guiding force that has shaped it since the beginning. It’s the hands and the time-honoured knowledge that are behind every individual product, and most importantly, honouring iconic Italian craftsmanship.
Born of this need to celebrate and honour the quality and tradition of Italian craftsmanship, a new chapter of The Art of Craftsmanship—Icons of Italian Style has emerged. The latest chapter focuses on Tod’s commitment to the art of making things exceptionally well through patience, precision and pride. The hands become the stars of the project, with gestures, poses and compositions symbolising the careful physicality at the essence of Tod’s.

Accompanying the symbols of Tod’s Artisanal Intelligence are the brand’s icons. Across bags, shoes and accessories, these pieces represent the best of Tod’s craftsmanship.
The iconic Gommino is highlighted in a number of forms, including the Gommino loafer and the Gommino Bubble Boat loafer. A symbol of Italian lifestyle and timeless elegance (and arguably the most famous of Tod’s icons), the Gommino is entirely handmade and the ultimate emblem of Made in Italy. There’s also the Tod’s loafer that offers a sleek, streamlined profile—an expression of understated style and refined taste. Rounding off the icons for men is the Red Dot sneaker. Tod’s craftsmanship meets technological innovation to create an urban sneaker you could do just about anything with. And as the name suggests, it’s characterised by a red dot on the heel.

Tod’s Artisanal Intelligence isn’t something you experience through digital means. Much like the work that goes behind the creations, they need to be touched and felt in person. Because only then can you truly appreciate the art of craftsmanship—that is Tod’s craftsmanship.
