It's hardly surprising that Clint 419 – the streetwear maven behind Corteiz and its hypey drops – was the first to showcase a new Slawn x Rolex watch.
Yesterday, the London-based designer displayed it proudly on his Instagram story, tagging the artist and the watch brand, and captioning it: '1st in the world. Mi luv u long time'.
On X, he posted more pics, with the caption: 'USED TO DREAM BOUT COPPIN ROLEY’S NOW MY BROTHER MAKES HIS OWN. SLAWN ROLEX. COMING SOON.'
From what we can see, Slawn has customised the dial of a Rolex Day-Date – famously endorsed by US president Lyndon B. Johnson, earning its nickname 'The President' – with his signature clown motif, while the background's peachy hues compliment the timepiece's gold hardware.
Despite being a born and bred Londoner, it seems that Clint has his hands on an Italian model, due to the date window reading 'Sabato' rather than 'Saturday'.
Upon contacting the Rolex PR office, they've confirmed that this watch is modified, and so it isn't an official collaboration.
In 2024, Slawn and Rolex worked together on a hand-made Rolex Datejust 41mm limited to just 10 pieces. Stormzy, Little Yachty and Dave got a style for around £15k each.
Now, it seems Clint is the first to bag Slawn's horological artwork. But from the wording in that IG story and the comment from Rolex, he may be the only one to have it.
