Every 9 August you get two options. A) Watch the National Day Parade or B) Take a quick vacay out of the country, you unpatriotic ingrate. This year is clearly a special one marking the nation's 60th anniversary of independence. With such significance, you bet your CDC that we will see brands make full use of the occasion by fostering a free economy.
Other than hubris, we have compiled 60—that's how much we love our country—limited-edition items, promotions, and events that commemorate SG60. Which means it will be a permanent fixture. Which also means a customer has to utter "Shiok-Ah-Ccino Yuan Yang Coffee Frappuccino" each order. No word on whether it appears if you say the order three times fast enough.

Look, we must confess, when we heard about a collaboration between PropertyGuru and Mark Ong aka Mr Sabotage, our eyebrows were raised. (Then again, there are other off-kilter unions [we are looking at you Julia Roberts and Lyle Lovett] so who are we to judge.) But looking at the reversible jacket that came out of this collaboration, colour us impress. Only 150 pieces were produced, with priority given to the top-performing agents but you—the non-PropertyGuru individual—can still score one of 10 jackets by partaking in a scavenger hunt. Or we can wait for someone to post this on Carousell, whichever is easier.
For more info on the scavenger hunt, follow PropertyGuru (@propertyguru) on Instagram

Marking Singapore's 60th anniversary and its own 130th anniversary, Swarovski reintroduces the Crystal Myriad Merlion. The first time Swarovski launched the Crystal Myriad Merlion was in 2015, this time round, only 20 pieces of this version are made. Each piece is adorned with 15,884 hand-set crystals (that's 96 hours of labour) and features an engraved metal plaque with its edition number alongside a Certificate of Authenticity.
