The '70s were wild. On the fashion front, it was a clash of bold and expressive styles where free-spirited hippie stylings existed alongside the over-the-top, dramatic silhouettes and makeup of glam rock. It was a period of heightened experimentation, individuality, and expression. It was evident in the interior design too with geometric prints and vibrant hues paired with earthy tones and natural materials.
In some ways, there are similarities between the '70s and RIMOWA. Both embrace juxtaposition, with the latter no stranger to combining its signature materials together; and like the '70s, RIMOWA is all about individual expression.

When we say that RIMOWA's latest seasonal colours are vibrant and expressive (perhaps more so than before), we mean it. Magenta and Orange take notes from the '70s, specifically its aforementioned unconventional aesthetics and bold expression. Both new colours are highly saturated tones and are easily the most vivid expression of each colour that the brand has ever materialised. Magenta is a deep and luminous fuchsia that evokes a sense of sophistication and curiosity, while Orange is energetic with an excitement for new experiences. And like every other RIMOWA Essential pieces, the new colours are drenched throughout each design, save for elements such as the wheels, stage-free telescopic handle, and TSA-approved locks.
This time around however, it's not only the Essential collection that's been given colour updates. RIMOWA's collection of leather bags, the Groove collection, is also part of the mix—the first time since its launch last year that it's been refreshed. The Groove Crossbody bag in small has also been rendered in Orange just in case you're hoping for an accessory to match. For those of us who favour more neutral tones for bags, the more accessible Chalk and Cognac would make for perfect options. And lastly, the Groove Shopping bag receives an update with Burgundy red, that's almost a deeper version of Magenta.
It's become increasingly easier to have suitcases, bags and accessories that reflect your personality as they accompany you in every journey you take. And we're certain RIMOWA isn't planning on stopping anytime soon.

The new RIMOWA Essential collection in Magenta and Orange, as well as the new colours for the Groove collection are now available in RIMOWA boutiques.
