Cartier’s Nature Sauvage High Jewellery collection breathes life into its precious inanimate stones. Drawing inspiration from untamed animals emerging from lush landscapes and dream-like realms; you have icy terrains, jungle canopies, and even abstract architectural motifs—these settings are inhabited by Cartier’s emblematic panther, patiently lurking somewhere.

After debuting in Vienna and unfolding its second chapter in Shanghai, Cartier now hosts the third instalment of Nature Sauvage in Singapore. The historic Command House serves as the perfect base, echoing the shared heritage of both the Maison and the city-state. Working with local craftspeople, the exhibition unfolds across six meticulously designed rooms, each paying homage to a different facet of Singapore’s vibrant Peranakan culture.

Thrill with the Wind (CARTIER)

We begin with Thrill with the Wind, a space inspired by the island’s gentle breeze that sweeps across Singapore. Curved walls, textured surfaces, and earthy hues evoke the flowing movement of sand, while hand-woven rattan elements ground the room in local tradition.

Treasures of Land (CARTIER)

Treasures of Land follow shortly after, a tribute to the city’s striking landscapes. Bold geometric silhouettes and angular lines are presented in red, black, and white to mirror both Cartier’s design code. Meanwhile, Cartier’s high jewellery motifs intertwine with the nation’s beloved orchid, elegantly embedded within the terrain.

Shapes of Water (CARTIER)

Next is Shapes of Water, which celebrates the glistening waters that surround our shores. Characterised by installations that play with the subtle movements of different materials, light dances across reflective surfaces, evoking both the ocean’s sparkle and the brilliance of Cartier’s diamonds.

The Nature Sauvage narrative concludes here in this third room, but the experience is far from over.

Beyond nature

Tradition Room (CARTIER)

The fourth room highlights the Maison’s cherished designs over the years and even offers rare vintage pieces for sale. Pieces that are crafted from embroidery and beading are of focus here to depict the rich history of the textile industry in Singapore.

In the fifth room, watches takes centre stage. Set within an alcove, straw marquetry arches in a radiant sunray pattern that pays homage to Cartier’s emblematic sunray dial. An array of Cartier horological creations are showcased atop intricately woven bamboo pillars, tying local tradition with meticulous craftsmanship.

Finally, The Special Order room offers guests a chance to co-create bespoke pieces in a setting modelled after traditional Singaporean homes, complete with vibrant ceramic tiles that exude nostalgic charm. Nothing like having a piece that's one-of-a-kind.

Beyond the main exhibition, guests can explore ten Private Viewing Salons, each themed around patterned fabrics, handcrafted rattan, or batik prints. These intimate settings offer a closer look at Cartier’s one-of-a-kind creations, ensuring a personal encounter with artistry and luxury.
