With wellness increasingly becoming a big part of the fitness world (it's no longer just about keeping fit physically, but also mentally) lululemon has been integrating its physical stores with studios to aid in making the customer journey more well-rounded. These experiential stores—a concept that was first introduced in 2019 with the brand's Chicago flagship in Lincoln Park—offer more than lululemon's extensive range of workout and hybrid apparel and accessories. Within the same space, customers are able to sign up for a suite of fitness classes as well as enter a dedicated space designed for meditation.

lululemon has just brought a similar concept to Singapore; and boy, don't we need it.

The new lululemon store at Takashimaya Shopping Centre is located a few levels below its original location on the third. Enter the sprawling space and you'll be greeted with the usual suspects—men's paraphernalia on the left, and women's on the right. You'll find the usual wall displays of beloved hybrid trousers made for both performance as well as everyday style, and a complete range of fitness and lifestyle gear. And like most of its other stores, the fitting rooms are an experience on its own with spacious cabins designed to help ensure that you're getting fit right.

Attached right next to the retail space is within studio's latest outpost, integrated seamlessly with the store's interior aesthetics. Curved forms, natural textures and soft lighting flow from the retail space to the studio, almost as a natural progression of the intended journey of a member of the lululemon community.

"This space reflects everything I’ve come to understand about the power of slowing down," shares Betty Kong, founder of within and lululemon ambassador. "At within, we aim to support individuals on their path to self-awareness and holistic wellness. Partnering with lululemon, where my own wellness journey started, brings a deep sense of purpose. I’m truly excited for the community to explore and experience this unique blend of store and studio, a place to nurture yourself and hold space for one another.”

Kong's latest studio location offers two classes (at least for now), split into the space's two dedicated rooms. Reformer pilates classes are held in the first, while yoga classes are held in the second. Towards the back of the space are gendered changing rooms with lockers as well as showering facilities. The hope is for the collaborative space to be one where the community is able to slow down, tune in, and cultivate wellbeing from the inside out—all with the guide of expert instructors.

If anything, it's now easier to test just how good your new lululemon purchases are without missing a beat.

The new lululemon collaboration retail space with within studio is located at B1-16 to 22 Takashimaya Shopping Centre. Discover within studio's full packages here.
