If you're as ancient as me, you'd remember, along with Esquire Singapore, there was an Esquire Malaysia launched in 2011; the latter preceding a year before the we came onto the scene. Esquire Malaysia shuttered in 2020 but now our sister publication is returning. Thanks to the joint efforts of Hearst Magazines International and Heart Media Group, Esquire Malaysia isn't a nostalgia play, but, perhaps, as a purposeful rethink of what a modern men’s magazine should be in today. Esquire Malaysia will feature the same important issues that today's men still give a shit about: sharp fashion, serious watches, considered food and culture, the best of tech and the arts—it's like Esquire Singapore but all through a distinctly Malaysian lens.
Stuart Danker, joins the magazine as Editor-in-Chief, and he will steer the editorial experience across news, lifestyle and fiction, aiming to “inspire and inform” readers curious about living their best lives.
Olivier Burlot, CEO of Heart Media Group and beloved paymaster said that he is proud to bring Esquire back to Malaysia. “The brand has always stood for discernment and character, and those values resonate strongly with Heart Media’s own philosophies. Together, we aim to highlight what it means to be a modern Malaysian, and to be the bridge between local talents, audiences, and brand partners.”
Esquire Malaysia will will launch digitally in January 2026 and will have its first print issue, under Heart Media Group, hitting newsstands in March 2026, at a frequency of 10 issues annually.
