It was television's biggest night—the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards. And as one would expect, it was also a gathering of some of the format's biggest stars, and some movie stars too as host Mariska Hargitay pointed out.
The Emmys 2026 red carpet—or blue, as they insist—was definitely no less impressive than its movie counterpart. In fact, it may be even a touch better than this year's Oscars'. But let's not carried away and think that there were plenty of fashion-forward looks; traditional suiting was still the go-to. Yet, there were intentional stylistic choices that made even the most traditional of looks, feel contemporary.
Dan Levy leads the Emmy 2026 pack of best-dressed men. The peak-lapel, double-breasted suiting by Celine was impeccably proportioned to suit his frame, and the addition of a black boutonnière a beautifully tasteful choice. Musician Noah Kahan (he performed during the "In Memoriam" portion of the event) too opted for a black double-breasted, but with a boxier cut and finished with a Southern string tie as well as some choice lapel pins.
Classic became a connecting thread for the best-dressed men of the night. Paul Anthony Kelly made a strong sartorial statement with his deep brown Louis Vuitton fit that was contrasted with a black bow tie, and Jack Lowden's monochromatic black Loewe number was faultless. There were also quite a number of Brunello Cucinelli suiting that made the cut—worn by Sterling K. Brown, Noah Wyle, Thomas Doherty, and John Mulaney.
