It is an unspoken rule that you need ski style cred to look like you belong on the slopes. You may protest—one’s skiing skills aren’t determined by how colour coordinated one’s ski gear is. Yet, skiing has always been a fashionable sport. It may have something to do with the large number of celebrities who escape to the French Alps, Aspen in Colorado, or Switzerland’s Zermatt, dressed in their finest performance wear. There’s a photo somewhere on the Internet of Robert Redford in the ’70s (after the release of Downhill Racer) in piste perfect style at his own ski resort, should you need confirmation.

Looking good, however, should not come at the expense of functionality. And Dior knows this.

The Lifestyle Capsule collection that is part of Dior Men’s Spring 2026 collection expands on the House’s previous ski capsules. Elegance is par for the course at Dior and this update ensures that while infusing functional and practical elements for on- and off-piste action. Familiar workwear silhouettes inform the collection, with denim jackets tipped with corduroy collars, padded technical vests, and lamb fur blousons with multiple zipped pockets. Heat-retaining fur trapper hats inspired the collection’s Dior Mountain hats that are adorned with a series of playful patches (which also appear on bags and accessories) referencing the Alps and Mont Blanc.

There’s a sense of simplicity in the designs, but not in a way one might consider uninspired or boring—they’re crafted to be relevent every ski season. The Dior Men visual language of blurring the line between the formal and informal comes in the form of brightly hued turtlenecks styled with everything from half-zip sweaters to checked shirts—pieces that one can wear without needing to be near a ski resort. But if you’re looking for a piece that is more emblematic of the House, a cardigan is crafted from virgin wool and features an embroidered edelweiss flower—often referred to as the “flower of the Alps”—on the back. Complete that with the Dior Slickrock shoes that are fitted with soles fashioned from Dior’s Cannage motif, and you’d easily score big on the style front.

Before you scoff at the excellent attention to details and craft as mere aesthetics, serious skiers will be glad to know that Dior Men tapped on the expertise of Japanese sportswear brand Descente on a number of pieces. Ski-appropriate down jackets, sweaters, gloves and ski pants are crafted for performance with co-branded reflective prints for increased visibility.
