When Kim Jones was conceptualising the Dior Men Fall 2025 collection, he thought about the point at which men’s fashion started becoming global, and laying the foundation for the fashion world we’re living in now.
“In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Dior exploded in America; I’ve always been fascinated by New York during this period. It’s that collision of Europe and America, Paris and New York, uptown and downtown, preppy and cool, something reflected in fashion, film, the art world and photography during that time. It’s when men’s fashion and fashion designers really started to travel, with the birth of a new, relaxed sartorial style. Something that feels right now as well as then,” Jones says in the collection notes.
The sentiment of feeling “right now as well as then” is best summarised in the Fall 2025 collection’s capsule designed specifically for avid golfers. This marks the House’s official foray into the sport, having previously ventured into niche sports like surfing, skiing and snowboarding. And like every other Dior Men lifestyle capsule collection, the pieces are not only designed to perform but also to dress the wearer in elegant fashion.
In true Jones spirit, the capsule collection has strong undertones of hybrid fashion—you’d just as easily wear any look away from the golf course as you would while putting. The interplay of formal versus informal is brought out through a decidedly preppy aesthetic. Knit shirts adorned with CD Diamond motifs (recurring throughout the collection) and argyle patterns as well as staple polo shirts are paired with denim bermudas or pleated trousers, finished with footwear that range from interpretations of the B27 and B33 sneakers to fringed derby shoes. For the more sportif, technical tracksuits, windbreakers and vests have been designed with retro accents for a more elegant take on functional golf fashion.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a golf capsule collection without actual useful golf accessories. The Dior Gravity takes centrestage as the signature material of choice, becoming the canvas for a slew of small accessories including a pouch fitted with slots enough for four tees. What perhaps would be quite a flex on the golf course is the collection’s golf bag with golf accessories—all crafted from Dior Gravity.
