When RIMOWA announced the Never Still series of bags in November 2020, it was the brand's first foray into a more lifestyle-skewed collection. Unlike its aluminium and polycarbonate suitcases, Never Still was crafted out of durable canvas with touches of leather, meant for the everyday. Never Still transitioned RIMOWA into more than just a luxury travel brand; it became a luxury mobility brand.
Since then, we've seen RIMOWA steadily expand into categories to help unlock the possibilities of being stylish with function-first designs while on the go. Its signature aluminium design has been manipulated into more everyday styles, and the Groove series was launched just last year as its first full leather series of bags. Now, the Never Still has been refreshed with leather while retaining the same sense of everyday mobility.
The Never Still Leather series takes on already existing Never Still silhouettes and crafts them out of full-grain leather, while also introducing new designs to the roster. The Never Still Leather Flap Backpack makes its debut in a familiar size as well as a smaller iteration with the functionalities of the original—a padded back for extra comfort, and a suitcase attachment sleeve. The large version comes in Black and Anthracite (a new colourway for the series), while the small version is available in the new Mocha colour.
New to Never Still are the Leather Duffle (available in Anthracite and Black) and the Leather Cross-Body Bag in small. Both bags carry the same design language with the former styled as a travel-friendly weekender bag. The Never Still Cross-Body Bag (available in Mocha and Anthracite) is a roomy crossbody option that's essentially a compact version of the Leather Duffle. There's also a new Leather Zipped Tote that's done only in Black and comes with a removable webbing strap. And like every other bag in the collection, it's also conveniently designed with a suitcase attachment. And lastly, a Never Still Leather Toiletry bag completes the expansion.
Aside from the introduction of the Never Still Leather series, RIMOWA has also taken the opportunity to debut Anthracite as a colour option for its Distinct suitcase range. Much like the Never Still Leather, the Distinct range is the brand's leather suitcase design trimmed with colour-matched aluminium corners. The Distinct Cabin in Anthracite is meant to patina with age, and like the rest of the colourways in the range, also comes with a protective suitcase cover.
The new RIMOWA Never Still Leather collection, Distinct Cabin in Anthracite, and Leather Zipped Tote in Black are now available in RIMOWA boutiques and online.
