
Remember Toki Time? That was the campaign slogan that Suntory was pushing via its re-introduction of Toki whisky. Toki Time is meant to be a moment of respite. Of slowing down. A moment with a cold glass of Toki in hand, while you And while you can have your own personal Toki Time at home, you can have some professionals prepare a chill glass over at Pop City
At Pop City, one can reach for a Yamanote Highball (Toki whisky served over chipped ice and a splash of orange blossom water), but every Saturday (tonight until 1 August), the bar will host its own version of Toki Time; it's a listening bar concept where patrons get to imbibe exclusive Toki cocktails and chill to Japanese-inspired tunes.
Alongside a Toki Flight, Toki Mizuwari and signature whisky serves, Toki Time presents three exclusive cocktails that are inspired by the music and portray Toki whisky's versatility. They are the Salted Citrus Highball (Toki, salted grapefruit, lemon and soda); an Apricot Whisky Sour (Toki, apricot, lemon, egg white and absinthe); and a Pocky Old Fashioned (Toki, chocolate Pocky, St-Germain and Okinawa brown sugar).




Tonight, DJ Eden will start this month's Toki Time music experience, with City Pop and Kayōkyoku tunes. Next week, DJ Itch takes on Shibuya Nu-Jazz; the following Saturday, DJ Amanda will spin R&B and Pop Crossover tracks, before DJ Suffyan closes off on 1 August with Future City / Nu Disco / Soft Electronic music.
