We've all binged episodes of both seasons of Physical: 100 and the spin-off Physical: Asia. We've probably done it while lounging too—snacks in hand or simply in a position of total and absolute physical rest—and quite possibly thought: I could do that.
We're wrong. But hey, Amotti would most likely back you up.
The South Korean fitness athlete is the poster child for pushing one's physical limits and that anything is physically possible if you put your mind to it. It's one of the reasons why he emerged as the winner of the second season of Physical: 100 and helped Team South Korea claim top spot in the spin-off. The man hardly ever gives up, putting trust in his capabilities even when he fumbles at times—like that round of sack-tossing in Physical: Asia.

Amotti's positive mindset makes him a natural ambassador for lululemon. The former competitive CrossFit athlete was met with an accident that forced him to retire from the sport, but his resolve to recover fully and regain his mobility surpassed even his doctor's expectations. And the rest, as they say, is history. He truly does embody the "Yet" mindset that lululemon's Training Ground event aims to inspire its community. The Singapore debut of lululemon Training Ground happened on 24 January 2026 and was an exclusive one-day event headlined by Amotti. Together with a host of other fitness instructors from partner studios, Amotti lead classes that were curated for all fitness levels with the goal of hopefully unlocking new physical breakthroughs for participants.
We caught up with Amotti during his time in Singapore, and got to know more about his personal beliefs and how he keeps himself constantly motivated.
ESQUIRE SINGAPORE: What is the most important part of preparing for a workout for you?
AMOTTI: For me, preparing for a workout starts with my mindset. I focus on developing the "Yet" mindset, reminding myself that there’s always room to grow and get stronger. Equally important is making sure the gear I wear can support me through the session. Wearing the right gears and outfits, like the lululemon Repper Short Sleeve shirt and the License to Train shorts, gives me the confidence and freedom to move fully, push harder, and focus entirely on progress, knowing my body and mind are supported.
ESQ: How do you feel wearing lululemon? In what way do lululemon’s pieces support your own fitness regime?
A: Wearing lululemon makes me feel confident while supporting me in all my workouts. The pieces are designed to move with you, so I never have to think about my gear when I’m training. It supports me through high-intensity sessions, long workouts, and recovery days. What I appreciate most is how lululemon combines performance with style, allowing me to train hard and still feel good wearing it beyond the gym.

ESQ: Is there a song that you listen to or think of to keep yourself focused?
A: I have been listening to "One More Time" by AllDay Project a lot these days.
ESQ: If you could design a collection with lululemon, what would be the number one item on your list to design?
A: If I could design a collection with lululemon, the first item on my list would be a hybrid training tank and shorts set. What I love about lululemon is how the gear delivers both high performance and high style. It’s built to handle intense training, but still looks stylish beyond the gym. I’d take inspiration from pieces like the Repper Short Sleeve shirt and the License to Train shorts, creating something breathable, durable, and versatile enough for hybrid workouts, while still feeling stylish every day.
ESQ: Physical fitness is one aspect of wellness, but how do you strike a balance overall? What sort of breaks do you allow yourself and what does true holistic wellness look like to you?
A: Physical training is important to me, but I’ve learnt that real wellness goes beyond just workouts. Balance comes from knowing when to push and when to slow down. I make space for proper recovery, quality sleep, time with my family, and moments to reset mentally, whether that’s taking a walk, or simply being present off the phone. To me, true holistic wellness is feeling strong, clear-minded, and grounded, so I can show up fully in both my training and my life.
ESQ: What do you hope participants take away from your Training Ground session with lululemon?
A: I hope participants leave feeling stronger, not just physically, but mentally as well. More than the workout itself, I want them to take away a sense of confidence, community, and belief in their own potential. If they walk out thinking, “I can do more than I thought,” then that’s a win for me, and a reminder that the best is yet.

ESQ: For someone who is starting out their fitness journey, what sort of advice would you give them?
A: I’d say start simple and be consistent. Focus on building good habits first. Learn proper form, find exercises you enjoy, and set realistic goals. Don’t compare yourself to others—progress is personal and takes time. Most importantly, enjoy the process by celebrating small wins, and remember that every step forward counts.
ESQ: Your physique and positivity are two of the things that you’re now known for. What motivates you to keep going and stay positive even on your lowest of days?
A: What keeps me going is remembering why I started in the first place, which was to grow, to challenge myself, and to set an example for my family and the people who support me. On my lowest days, I remind myself that progress isn’t about being perfect, it’s about showing up consistently. Training helps, but so does perspective. I have grown to understand that every setback is part of the journey. I truly believe that the best is yet, and that belief keeps me positive and moving forward.
