Five years since it was announced that Apple has a fitness and wellness platform, five years since the tech giant rolled out its fitness subscription service, Singapore now has access to Fitness+. Now available to 49 more new countries and regions, subscribers in Singapore will have access to all 12 Fitness+ workout types that includes Strength, HIIT, Pilates, Kickboxing, and even Meditation sessions. Ranging between five to 45 minutes, Fitness+ streams on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV and is a subscription service for SGD9.98 per month or SGD79.00 per year, and can be shared with up to five other family members.
Launch your Apple Fitness+ programme and play a workout to follow through. On screen, your own metrics can be displayed in real-time from your Apple Watch, AirPods Pro 3, or any Bluetooth heart rate monitor. The app lets you track your fitness journey, gain insights from Fitness+ trainers, and create a personalised recommendations based on your activity.
Fitness+ uses Custom Plans, an algorithmic scheduler that creates personalised weekly routines based on your preferred workouts, durations, trainers, and, yes, even your music. Subscribers get to adhere to plans like Stay Consistent (for people who need a routine), Push Further (for those who want to level up), and Get Started (has a ready-made plan based on what you chose when you first start your subscription or popular activities).
Thanks to its deep integration with Apple Music, music plays a big part in Apple Fitness+. The playlists are background soundtracks to motivate you (or distract you from your muscles screaming). The Artist Spotlight series features entire workout playlists built around single artists like Beyoncé, BTS, Selena Gomez, and Coldplay.

If you just want something slow-paced, there's Time to Walk, a feature where your simple act of walking is accompanied by an audio-guided hangout with cultural figures. Past guests include Cynthia Erivo, Jane Fonda, Simu Liu, and Shawn Mendes. As of writing, the latest episode has Formula 1 driver Yuki Tsunoda to lead the traipse.
Apple has Collections, which bundle themed workouts and meditations from the Fitness+ library into a mini-series. This is to help users attain their fitness goals or find something that fit their interests through cheekily titles like "Pilates for More Than Your Core"; "No Shoes Workouts"; "So Fresh! 90s Dance". What a fun diversion from the reality of my muscles being sore the next day! Fun!
And, lastly, let's not forget about users looking to look inward: Meditation. has its time under the sun with 12 themes like Calm, Sleep and Sound. These has easy-to-follow instructions to recharge and have better connection with oneself or something like that... like what even is "therapy"? (asks the guy who clearly have plenty of unresolved issues that he thinks can be solved with punching).

Apple Fitness+ is now available (duh) as a subscription service
