Think about infinity. I mean, you know what infinity is... but you can't really grasp it fully. The closest that humans can explain the concept of "forever" is through the medium of music, poetry, words... you get it. Dom Pérignon refines its focus on infinity, opting for a more coherent examination of time and mastery, through the medium of art.
Called "Creation is an Eternal Journey", this long-form project involves a few of the Maison's friends—or, at least, people whom they have worked with: Zoë Kravitz, Clare Smyth, Tilda Swinton, Alexander Ekman, Takashi Murakami, Anderson .Paak, and Iggy Pop. These seven artists, each singular in spirit, are invited not to decorate the brand, but to expand the world of Dom Pérignon.
It's an idea in using champagne, when its elevated to art and how it becomes a vessel for time. To kick things off, Superflat creator, Takashi Murakami, is the first to give form to this new vision. Taking the Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 and Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2010, the visuals on the labels are refracted through Murakami’s unmistakable lens of whimsy and eternity. Smiling flowers unfurl across the dark, monkish minimalism of Dom Pérignon’s shields and coffrets, transforming them into a fantastical garden—a symbol of creative fertility.

Together, Murakami's design and Dom Pérignon's austerity form the twin poles of Murakami’s intention: darkness and bloom, rigour and play—both timeless, both alive.
Something to think about when you're downing champagne, we suppose.
