After an arguably (not really) flawless performance on Sunday, Mercedes' George Russell earned his victory on the Marina Bay Street Circuit. His second of the season; and his fourth across seven in total; Russell clocked in at 1hr 40min 22.367sec.

Talk about making the most of a surprising pole position (considering Mercedes' potential challenges in warmer conditions). Clearing the line 5.430s ahead of closest contender Max Verstappen (Norris clocking in third); the margin extension could be attributed to the sole pit stop sequence.

From grid slot to maintaining the lead from the start, it's strong turnaround since crashing on his last lap in the 2023 race. To quote the 27-year old, "Singapore’s not been the kindest to me in the past and that’s been through my own doing the majority of the time." We'd reckon that this victory tastes much sweeter to Russell now.

For his effort, the Briton received his due encased in a Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunk, specially created to protect and showcase the prize.
