This opening is just the tip of a push for Hilton as it aims for a new era of hospitality in Asia. At its recent (and first-ever) hospitality brand showcase in Bengaluru, the hotel giant announced a two-fold increase in its presence in India over the next five years. The showcase featured 10 brands from the brand's portfolio through interactive zones and live experiences.
Currently operating five active brands in India, Hilton plans to include the country's first LXR Hotels & Resorts in Bengaluru by 2026; Spark by Hilton and Hampton by Hilton, aimed at value-driven travellers; Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts and Signia by Hilton in Jaipur.
But if India represents the ground-up build, then Singapore is Hilton’s refined play at entering the rarefied world of lifestyle luxury. Come 2027, Singapore will become home to Asia Pacific’s first NoMad hotel, the cult-favourite boutique brand renowned for infusing hospitality with architectural depth, eclectic art collections, and a focus on locality that feels less like branding and more like provenance.
The 173-room property will be situated in Orchard Road. Developed in partnership with Singapore-listed UOL Group, the NoMad Singapore will have the usual hallmarks of carefully sourced artworks, dining that aims to anchor rather than supplement the hotel’s identity, and interiors that balance classic influences with contemporary detailing. It won’t be ostentatious, but it will be unmistakably a NoMad.
Alan Watts, President, Asia Pacific, Hilton, said it best: “With demand for high-end, experience-driven stays surging across the region, the luxury gateway of Singapore offers the perfect backdrop to debut NoMad’s uniquely local luxury hospitality.”
It's a story that Hilton is weaving: a global plan that now spans from Jaipur to Orchard, it’s not just about where you stay—it’s about how the hotel becomes part of the city’s rhythm.
