This is not a drill: Gaziano & Girling will be here in Singapore for a limited time only. For the uninitiated, Gaziano & Girling is a bespoke shoe company founded in 2006 by Tony Gaziano and Dean Girling. While the brand itself has only been around for less than 15 years, the founders have cut their teeth working for renowned shoemakers such as George Cleverly and Edward Green. Their expertise have quickly gained them recognition as one of the most versatile and innovative shoemakers in England. It helps too that they’re based in Savile Row; only the most respected street for all things classic men’s style in all of London.
Coming to Singapore on behalf of Gaziano & Girling this 11 and 12 September 2018, is Daniel Wegan. The bespoke shoemaker was most recently ranked number two in the first World Championships in Shoemaking this year. Wegan will be setting up a temporary space at Kevin Seah’s atelier on both days and will be present to spill his knowledge of shoemaking, as well as personal consultations for bespoke and made-to-order commissions. Won’t be heading to London anytime soon? This is surely a treat.
Because Gaziano & Girling is known for its superior craftsmanship and is able to create pretty much your idea of the perfect shoe, a pair will cost upwards of SGD2,500. Look at it this way: for a pair of handmade shoes that will last a lifetime, it’s a no-risk investment. But if you’d rather start off with a less pricey set, Kevin Seah is the exclusive Southeast Asian stockist for Gaziano & Girling’s ready-to-wear shoes.
The Gaziano & Girling trunk show in Singapore will be held on 11 and 12 September 2018 at Kevin Seah’s atelier (03-01, The Mill, 5 Jalan Kilang). For an appointment with Daniel Wegan, contact email@example.com or +65 6532 2018.
